Utility Company Rebates

Xcel Energy is offering a wide array of rebates for high efficiency home comfort installations performed in 2017.  In order to take advantage of these rebates, homeowners are required to work with a contractor that is registered for this program. Federal Income Tax Credits for Energy Efficiency

Dating back to 2009, there has been a $500 federal tax credit available to help offset an investment made in high efficiency heating or cooling for your home (as well as other energy saving updates). This was a 'lifetime credit,' and the expiration date has been extended numerous times. It is was last set to expire on 12/31/2016. We will post any updated information related to an extension into 2017, or related to any new tax credits, as we become aware of it.

For more information on federal tax credits for energy efficiency upgrades, and to determine your eligibility, we suggest you consult your tax adviser. You can also visit the Energy Star website.
